About

The 9th International Congress “Library as a cultural phenomenon”, dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the National Library of Belarus, will be held on September 15 – 16, 2022. The anniversary is included into the UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register.

The 26th General Assembly of Nonprofit Partnership “The Library Assembly of Eurasia” will be held within the framework of the Congress

The National Library of Belarus invites the participation of experts from libraries, museums, archives, research organizations, educational institutions, publishing companies, representatives of state institutions and public organizations.

We provide a possibility to demonstrate products and services to everyone interested.

Terms of participation:
The Congress will be held in hybrid format with the possibility of in-person and virtual participation, online translations and discussions.

Please, submit your report to secretar@nlb.by not later than August 1, 2022, and presentation (if any) to secretar@nlb.by not later than September 1, 2022.

To participate in the congress, please, register online on the website www.nlb.by not later than September 1, 2022.

Meals, lodging and transportation fees are paid by participants.
Time limit
Reports at the plenary session – up to 20 minutes, at breakout sessions – up to 10 minutes.

Requirements for papers:
We accept original reports of scientific and applied significance, not previously published and corresponding to thematic field of the Congress. Materials are planned to be published before the Congress work will start.

The report should include: the title of the report, author’s/co-author’s full name, academic degree, full name of organization, city and country, full name of a person who will present the report at the Congress.

The total size of the report including annotation, drawings, attachments, schemes, etc. should be up to 6 pages, format A4, Times New Roman, type size 13, 1.5 line spacing, file type – rtf, doc or docx.

Bibliography should be listed alphabetically after the body text of the report. References to sources should be given in square brackets, for example [3, p. 15].

The annotation in Russian should contain up to 700 symbols (including spaces).

The organizing committee is authorized to select reports for presenting at the Congress and materials for publication.

Requirements for video-reports:
Video orientation (landscape mode). Video recording should be made with the use of a microphone, with a good lighting and without any additional noises. Time duration is up to 10 minutes.
