The Global Vision Belarus Project Belarus joins the IFLA's ambitious Global Vision Project, which was launched in April 2017 in Athens (Greece).

Under the auspices of such a large-scale initiative, meetings, seminars and online discussions are held around the world, and the ways of developing libraries in the near and distant future, their goals and tasks are discussed.

On May 30, 2018, as part of the 5th Forum of Belarusian Librarians, a regional discussion "IFLA. Global Vision" is to be held. The country’s experts and leading specialists in librarianship will discuss the challenges that the professional community faces in connection with the ever-growing globalization.

The outcome of the meeting will be the development of a single collective response to the issues considered by the international discussion. The final report will be sent to IFLA.

Similar material is being collected in all countries of the world as a basis for developing a road map for the unification of the international library community. To date, 9,291 participants in 185 seminars and 21,772 online voting participants from 213 countries and territories on all 7 continents have already expressed their views.
