15th  International Bibliological Conference: the Programme

On April 4– 5, the anniversary 15th International Bibliological Conference will be held at the National Library of Belarus. Within two days, a plenary session, eight sections and the Keepers of Rarities exhibition will take place.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus. The partners are the EU Project MOST and the Polish Institute in Minsk.

The goals of the conference are: to consolidate the scientific community; to discuss topical issues of studying and promoting book heritage; to encourage cooperation between researchers of book history.

The jubilee 15th International Bibliological Conference is timed to the 40th anniversary of the Bibliology Research Department of the National Library of Belarus. Traditionally, the conference’s problem area will include the questions of the history of handwritten and printed books from early times to present day. The scientific event will bring together bibliologists, linguists, cultural historians, historians and philosophers from Belarus, Great Britain, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
