Information letter

The XI International Congress "Library as a cultural phenomenon" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders will be held at the National Library of Belarus on October 24-25, 2024.

Specialists from libraries, museums, archives, research organizations, educational institutions, publishing houses, representatives of government agencies and public organizations are invited to participate in the congress.

Exhibitions:
The opportunity to demonstrate products and services is provided.

Terms of participation:
The Congress will be held in a hybrid format, participation is possible in person and remotely, online broadcasts and discussions are provided.

To participate in the congress, you must register online no later than October 10, 2024.

Accommodation, meals, and transportation costs are at the expense of the participants.

Time limit:
Reports at the plenary session – up to 20 minutes, at breakout sessions – up to 10 minutes.

Reports requirements:
Original works of scientific and applied importance, corresponding to the thematic areas of the congress and not published anywhere before, are accepted.
Surname, first name, patronymic (in full) of the author / co-authors, position, academic degree, academic title, full name of the organization, city, country, title of the report; surname, first name, patronymic (in full) of the person who will present the report at the congress.
The volume of the report, including the abstract, illustrations and appendices, is no more than 6 A4 pages, Times New Roman, size 13, one and a half line spacing, file type – .doc, .docx or .rtf.
The list of sources used is arranged after the main text in alphabetical order. References to sources are placed in square brackets, for example, [3, p. 15].
The summary in Russian and English is no more than 400 symbols (including spaces).
It is planned to publish a collection of congress materials.
The Organizing Committee is authorized to select reports for the Congress and their further publication in the collection.

Requirements for video-reports:
The orientation of the video is horizontal. The video recording should be created with a microphone, in good lighting, with no side noise. The video duration is no more than 10 minutes.
The file with the text of the report should be sent to the email secretary@nlb.by no later than September 15, 2024.

Presentation requirements:
The file type is ppt Microsoft PowerPoint.

The file with the video report or presentation must be sent to the email secretar@nlb.by no later than October 10, 2024.
