The 14th International Bibliological Conference Structure

The 14th International Bibliological conference will be held on April 26-27 at the National Library of Belarus.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus. The Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank and the National Institute of Education are co-organizers. The European Union project "MOST" and the Polish Institute in Minsk are scientific partners of the event.

The 400th anniversary of the first "Bukvar" edition is not the only topic to discuss in the conference. Thematic field of the conference is diverse and reflects interest in Belarus book culture and its understanding in a global context. Widely formulated problems are interesting for bibliographers, linguists, cultural experts, historians, philosophers, publishers and booksellers. The researchers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Great Britain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine will take part at the conference.

During two days there will be organized one plenary session, six sections, master class "Easy Grammar Learning" and the opening of the exhibition "Bukvars of All Nations".

  • "Belarusian manuscripts and printed books of the 16th–18th centuries in domestic and foreign collections "
  • "The Belarusian book of the 19th–20th centuries"
  • "Historical Libraries and library science development in Belarus"
  • "Decoration of manuscripts and printed books"
